Job summary

Pueblo Sandia is seeking a bus driver to transport students to and from school and activities. Responsibilities include safe driving on routes, pre/post trip inspections, and ensuring pupil safety during trips.

The role requires a NM CDL B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement, high school diploma or GED, and completion of trainings within required timeframes. Candidates must pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain valid NM CDL B with Passenger (P) and School Bus Endorsement (S).
• Must complete required trainings within 30 days to 6 months of hire date (CPR, First Aid, health and safety).
• Successful background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus safely to transport pupils on designated routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Maintain order and safety of pupils during trips.
• Prepare and submit required incident reports.
• Comply with local traffic regulations and Tribal Council rules.
• Report delays or accidents promptly.
• Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, in boarding and alighting.
