Job summary

The Sioux City Community School District Transportation is seeking a part-time Bus Driver Route 37 in Sioux City, IA. You will provide safe and efficient transportation for students according to district policies and route tickets, and will operate and secure equipment to support transportation of students.

This role requires a valid Class B CDL with P and S endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and safety skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED and prior experience with children.
• Must possess a valid Class B CDL with P and S endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Transports students to and from school and events following route sheets and trip tickets.
• Operates and secures equipment needed to transport students with disabilities or special needs.
• Maintains safety by following DOT regulations and district policies.
• Completes required reports and logs and communicates via two-way radios.
• Conducts daily safety inspections of buses and reports issues promptly.
• Promotes professional conduct and maintains confidentiality of student information.
