Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and previous experience working with children.
• Must possess, at minimum, a valid Class B CDL with P and S endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from school following route sheets and trip tickets.
• Operate and secure equipment required to transport students with disabilities or special needs.
• Adhere to DOT safety regulations and traffic laws; comply with safety standards.
• Maintain safety during boarding and alighting of passengers on the bus.
• Transport students to school-sponsored events and field trips as needed.
• Perform daily safety inspections of buses and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain logs and reports of route operations and incidents as required.
• Attend driver meetings and in-service trainings to improve skills.
