Job summary

Summit School Services invites applicants to join as Drivers in Training in Cincinnati, OH. No experience required.

Walk-in interviews Mon–Fri 10:00 AM–12:30 PM (EST); sign-on bonus $500; starting pay rate $15.00/hour, training pay $10/hour; location at the HS bus garage in Cincinnati. The Driver in Training will be mentored to obtain endorsements and learn company policies; after completing training, you’ll be placed as a Non-CDL Driver.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old; for Tennessee, at least 25 years per state law.
• Must possess or obtain and maintain all valid applicable state licenses and endorsements to operate company vehicles.
• Must meet physical/medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.
• Must practice defensive driving and safe work habits.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or location-specific vehicle.
• Maintains on-time performance while ensuring safety.
• Physically assists passengers in emergencies and evacuation.
• Immediately reports accidents or incidents per policy.
• Completes required paperwork and submits to the proper authority in a timely manner.
• Maintains professional appearance and cooperative attitude with staff and customers.
