Job summary

Caswell County Schools is seeking a reliable Bus Driver to operate assigned routes in Yanceyville, NC, ensuring student safety and on-time pickups. This role requires completing pre-trip inspections, observing traffic laws, and maintaining discipline on the bus.

Starting pay is $18.94 per hour with openings immediately. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a North Carolina CDL with school bus certification; prior experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and some experience driving large vehicles with some experience in transporting humans preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document inspections as required by Transportation Department Operating Instructions for bus drivers.
• Operates the assigned school bus on the route(s) and schedule provided by the Director of Transportation.
• Maintains discipline of students assigned to ride the school bus. Establishes a discipline plan that is consistent with school disciplinary objectives.
