Job summary

Fort Gibson Public School in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to join our transportation team, safely transporting students along prescribed routes and ensuring a positive, orderly arrival and departure daily.

You will conduct daily pre-trip inspections, comply with Federal and state regulations, maintain clean, safe buses, and support district policies on student behavior and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL with passenger endorsements required.
• Oklahoma Bus Drivers Certification required.
• Must pass physical exam including vision acuity and drug testing.
• Driving record must be satisfactory with no convictions or pleas tied to drugs/alcohol or felony arrests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a prescribed route and schedule for student loading and unloading.
• Comply with bus laws and district policies and state/federal regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report results.
• Keep the bus clean and orderly and adhere to safety procedures.
• Attend driver training refreshers and participate in safety drills.
• Undergo annual physicals and driving record checks as required.
• Support district needs and promote a positive image.

Education
