Job summary

Towne Bus Corp. is hiring drivers to transport students safely and on time, using school buses or vans.

A CDL is preferred; training is provided to obtain one, and applicants must be at least 21 with 1 year of driving experience. Drivers will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, monitor student behavior, and assist passengers during loading and unloading while following all laws and district requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with 1 year driving experience.
• Possess NYS CDL Class A/B with P&S for buses or Class C with P&S for vans, or be willing to obtain via provided training.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check; maintain CDL guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus or van to transport students safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions and student behavior for safe travel.
• Comply with all federal/state/local laws and district requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting as needed.
