Wonderful College Prep Academy in Delano and Lost Hills, CA is seeking a School Bus Driver II to operate a school bus on designated routes, transporting students to and from school and on field trips. Under the supervision of the Senior Transportation Manager, this journey-level role emphasizes safety and student welfare while following district policies.

We require a California Class B license with P and S endorsements and air brake endorsement, a California Special School Bus Driver

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of safe bus driving practices.
• Understanding of bus operation and safety to recognize problems.
• Knowledge of state laws, rules, and Education Code related to pupil transportation.
• First aid practices knowledge and ability to administer first aid.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus daily on designated routes and schedules.
• Escorts students safely across streets and at bus stops.
• Transports students and teachers on field trips as scheduled.
• Maintains bus cleanliness and reports defects or safety issues.
• Performs routine safety checks and attends safety meetings.
• Ensures proper records of trips and incident reporting.
