Job summary

MT. BLUE REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT - RSU 9 seeks a dedicated School Bus Driver / Custodian to transport students safely and maintain facilities.

The role requires a valid CDL Class B with school bus endorsements and a state-ordered physical exam, plus the ability to read technical information and work safely with equipment. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance, emergencies, and supervising passengers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Valid CDL Class B with school bus endorsements and passenger endorsement.
• Pass a physical exam per state requirements.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical information.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and equipment; be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from school and events.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain district vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects promptly.
• Supervise students and enforce safety, discipline, and district policies.
• Follow district routes, schedules, and radio protocols.
• Be CPR certified and participate in required training.
• Carry out custodial and maintenance duties at assigned location.
