Job summary

Child-Parent Centers in Marana, AZ is hiring a Driver Custodian for 40 hours/week. The role provides safe transportation of preschool children to Head Start centers and field trips, plus custodial duties for centers and buses.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, and able to follow safety protocols. A CDL with school bus endorsement is required within 45 days, with related training provided. Workdays are Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Submit AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card before start.
• Valid driver’s license issued within the continental United States.
• 3-year driving history clear of citations.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Meet physical, mental, vision and other AZ law requirements.
• Maintain active personal vehicle insurance if driving for the agency.

Responsibilities

• Transport preschool children safely to and from the Head Start center and on field trips.
• Perform custodial duties for classrooms, playground and bus areas daily.
• Report maintenance needs via the agency work request system.
• Work with bus monitors to ensure safety and proper bus operations.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and keep accurate bus lists.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Maintain CDL medical certification and required driving records.
