Job summary

Camas School District is seeking a CDL-equipped bus driver floater to safely transport students and support multiple routes. This role includes behind-the-wheel training, a signing bonus, and opportunities to build experience across routes and schedules.

Starting pay is $34.01/hour or more with experience, plus a training period and potential additional bonuses. Training is provided by on-staff driver trainers to prepare you for independent operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Washington State Driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record with WA abstract.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience operating a school bus preferred.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Willingness to be flexible and take on related duties.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and activities.
• Provide supervision and student management for safe operations.
• Build and maintain good relations with students, families, staff, and community.
• Maintain and update route books and use maps for destinations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Fuel buses and perform safety procedures for different fuels.
• Clean interior and exterior of buses as needed.
