Job summary

Catlin Gabel School is seeking a part-time School Bus Route Driver to operate a bus on assigned routes and trips, ensuring the safe transport of students and compliance with traffic laws and school policies.

The role requires a valid Oregon CDL with appropriate endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform daily inspections and student loading/unloading. A sign-on bonus is offered and the position is 0.5–0.75 FTE, with potential for additional trips as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience driving school buses in city traffic.
• Valid Oregon CDL with Air Brake, Passenger endorsements, and ODE certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned morning and afternoon school bus routes and trips on school days.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections of the bus and complete inspection reports.
• Load and unload students at stops and campus areas; ensure student safety.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and professional appearance; follow safety regulations.
• Report vehicle issues and disciplinary concerns to Transportation Manager.
• Participate in required trainings and maintain required certifications.
