Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Illinois Drivers' License.
• Possesses or is able to obtain a CDL Driver's License Class B, with passenger and school bus endorsement.
• Ability to operate a school bus, exercising good judgment and extreme caution.
• Ability to drive a school bus safely over a variety of normal and hazardous road conditions.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the public and staff members.
• A work history demonstrating dependability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a passenger bus for student transport.
• Supervise and assist students during entry and exit.
• Transport students on field trips and events.
• Enforce District Policies related to transportation.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance checks on the bus.
