Job summary

Dean Transportation is hiring School Bus Drivers to transport students and passengers safely to and from school events and activities in Addison, MI. Training for obtaining a CDL is provided, and no prior CDL experience is required.

Earn up to $22.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and eligible benefits. Applicants must meet driving record and criminal history standards and pass DOT physicals and drug tests as required.

Qualifications

• General employment qualifications must be met.
• Meet company and state standards for driving record checks.
• Meet criminal history checks per company, state, and school district.
• Meet Federal DOT guidelines and physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Complete Dean Transportation School Bus Driver Training program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passengers on safety.
• Drive defensively and prioritize passenger safety.
• Establish positive working relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Attend training sessions and in-service programs.
