Dean Transportation is seeking School Bus Drivers to support Bay-Arenac ISD in Bay City, MI. Earn up to $22.00 per hour with flexible scheduling, paid training for CDL preparation, and no prior CDL experience required.

Benefits are available to eligible employees, with a 401(k) after one year of service. Responsibilities include safely transporting students, following routes, conducting safety drills, and maintaining professional relations with staff and the community.

Qualifications

• Meet general employment qualifications.
• Meet company and state driving record check standards.
• Meet company, state, and school district criminal history check standards.
• Meet Federal DOT guidelines and physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Complete Dean Transportation School Bus Driver Training Program: classroom and behind-the-wheel.
• Meet Michigan School Bus Driver Certification Requirements: minimum hours and knowledge exam.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow established routes and bus stops.
• Conduct safety drills and evacuations.
• Instruct passengers on safety.
• Drive defensively in varying conditions.
• Maintain professional conduct with staff, passengers, and the public.
• Attend training sessions and in-service programs.
