Job summary

Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, MI is seeking Bus Drivers to transport students on scheduled routes and school events. Route drivers have regular five day per week routes; event drivers have fluctuating schedules based on activities and events.

The role requires a valid Michigan driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, a Michigan CDL with B/P/S endorsements or eligibility, and completion of a MI Dept. of Education bus driver card within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Valid MI driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• MI CDL with B/P/S endorsements or eligibility.
• MI Dept. of Education bus driver card within 90 days.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive a school bus.
• Assist students with boarding and alighting.
• Ensure passenger and vehicle safety.
• Arrive at pick-up/drop-off points on time.
• Report accidents immediately and request assistance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and colleagues.
• Participate in required training.
• Check weather and road conditions before departures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Transportation Supervisor.
