DeKalb County Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students in a safe and timely manner. A valid CDL and Alabama School Bus Driver's License with endorsements are required, along with passing annual medical and drug screenings.

You will follow schedules, enforce bus rules, and report incidents and accidents promptly. Responsibilities include maintaining discipline on the bus, keeping the vehicle clean, attending required transportation meetings, and adhering to all traffic laws and

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Shall meet all federal, state and county board requirements applicable to school bus drivers.

Mansioni

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Alabama School Bus Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
• Must pass a medical examination upon initial employment and every other year as required by the DeKalb County Board of Education, incl. drug and alcohol testing and medical clearance.
• Pass mandatory drug test.
• Attend transportation meetings, workshops and staff development as required by the Board of Education.
• Obey all traffic laws and mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline when students are on the bus and report undisciplined students to school personnel.
• Keep the assigned bus clean and adhere to the assigned schedule.
• Check the bus before operation for mechanical defects and report any issues promptly.
• Discharge students at authorized stops and exercise leadership on extra trips.
• Report all accidents and complete required reports; comply with policies on tobacco, drugs and alcohol.
• Subcontracting is prohibited; all absences and substitutes must be reported.
