Job summary

LOGAN-HOCKING SCHOOL DISTRICT in Logan, Ohio seeks a full-time Bus Driver for Route #17. The selected applicant must meet Ohio DOE requirements, be 21+, have two years of driving experience, and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Duties include daily route driving, maintaining the bus, and ensuring safety and discipline per district policies. The role reports to the Transportation Supervisor and times run mornings and afternoons, totaling about 7 hours daily.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years old with a minimum of two years driving experience.
• Possess either a high school diploma or GED.
• Being physically qualified (per Ohio Administrative Code).
• Completion of semi-annual driver record checks under DOE for six years.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses punctually on regularly scheduled routes.
• Maintain a clean bus and inspect it as required by rules.
• Report bus defects to mechanics and complete work orders.
• Obey all traffic laws and maintain a student seating chart.
• Assist handicapped students and promote positive public relations.
• Transport only authorized students to and from approved stops/routes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Transportation Supervisor.
