Job summary

La Vernia ISD Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver to operate school buses on assigned routes in La Vernia, Texas. The position offers a four-day work week and an hourly rate of $22.

The driver will transport students and authorized persons, follow schedules, and ensure safety. Applicants must have a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements, be at least 18, and pass DOT tests and medical exams. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Texas CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass DOT tests and medical exam.
• Ability to complete required safety training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily on assigned route following schedules.
• Transport students to and from activities and designated locations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report needed repairs.
• Maintain student safety and manage behavior as required.
• Complete records and reports of mileage and passengers transported.
