Job summary

Young World Physical Education is looking for a part-time Bus Driver to ensure safe transportation of students in Luling, Texas. Ideal candidates will possess a valid Texas commercial driver’s license and have the ability to operate the bus safely.

The role requires adherence to traffic laws and safety regulations while managing student behavior during transport. Health coverage and benefits are available, with compensation ranging from $19.25 to $26.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas commercial drivers license or willingness to complete training.
• Must pass annual DOT required physical exam.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students.
• Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain safety precautions when students are boarding and departing.

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and verbal instructions in English

Ability to operate bus safely for extended periods of time

Acceptable driving record

Education

Valid Texas commercial drivers license (Class B with S Endorsement)

Tools

Power lifts and ramps

Two-way radio and/or Nextel communications equipment
