Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Operate a school bus safely and follow determined schedules
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug, alcohol, background, and TB testing
• Maintain an exceptional driving record and learn safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus safely while managing and caring for students
• Learn and adapt to each student’s medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs
• Serve as a role model demonstrating positive attitude and self-control
• Protect the confidentiality of student records and information
• Secure students who use child safety restraint systems
