Job summary

Flushing Community Schools is seeking qualified Bus Drivers for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must hold a CDL with SP and Air Brake endorsements and pass required tests and background checks. A strong safety record and ability to follow protocols are essential.

Position offers health/dental/vision/Life/LTD coverage, training, and a perfect attendance bonus. Reports to Transportation Supervisor; applications accepted until filled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL with SP and Air Brake endorsements required.
• Successful completion of prerequisite skills road test.
• Documentation of re-certification where appropriate.
• Successful completion of physical examination, drug and alcohol testing.
• Driver’s license check conducted.
• Fingerprint background check through GISD.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Alternatives as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Maintain safety and passenger discipline on routes.
• Adhere to district policies and state regulations.
