Midwest Educational Transportation Services (METS) is hiring and training new school bus drivers for assignments at Comstock Public Schools in Michigan. The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and pay from $22.66 per hour.

Paid training is provided for candidates who enjoy working with children and have a safe driving record. Candidates must be 21+ with 5 years driving experience and be able to pass DOT physical and drug testing.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 21 years or older and 5 years driving experience.
• Paid training is provided for qualified candidates who enjoy working with children.
• Ability to develop and maintain a professional rapport with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Aufgaben

• Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus safely while supervising students.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, staff and community; read and understand maps.
• Follow district policies and ethics; implement changes from administration and the board of education.
• Uphold the discipline plan with clear expectations and consistent consequences.
• Perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting up to 75 lbs and being outdoors as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
