Ouachita Parish School Board has a standing application process that allows individuals to apply for positions, whether there is a vacancy or not. This allows for a pool of applicants should a position become vacant. This application is not posted for a specific location at this time.
MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS:
1. U.S. Citizen or authorized alien
2. High School Diploma or its equivalent
3. Minimum Age - 21 Years
4. CDL Physical examination required, including TB test
5. Must pass a criminal background investigation and drug screen.
6. CDL License
7. Acceptable Driving Record (MVR)
8. Successful completion of Psycho-physical examination
9. Successfully pass post-employment random alcohol and substance abuse testing
10. Successful completion of 40 hours of pre-inservice training including SBD, DDC, and First Aid Course
including CPR
a. 10 hours behind the wheel training
b. 30 hours of classroom training
11. Successful completion of 8 hours of annual in-service and re-certification by the Ouachita Parish School
Board and the Louisiana Department of Education
12. Must possess personality traits which are conducive to working closely with all school personnal and the public
JOB GOAL:
To provide safe transportation in a timely manner to all eligible students both from home to school and back home
