Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 21
• CDL physical exam including TB test
• Pass criminal background check and drug screen
• Acceptable driving record (MVR)
• Psycho-physical examination completed
• Pass post-employment random alcohol and substance testing
• Complete 40 hours of pre-service training including SBD, DDC, and First Aid (including CPR)
• 10 hours behind the wheel training
• 30 hours of classroom training
• Annual 8 hours of in-service and re-certification by Ouachita Parish School Board and the Louisiana Department of Education
• Must possess traits conducive to working with staff and the public

• To provide safe transportation in a timely manner to all eligible students both from home to school and back home
