Job summary

Students Across North America is seeking a dependable school bus driver to safely transport students along established routes in Utica, NY. You will work with a local management team and receive training to operate CDL-ready vehicles.

Applicants must have a clean driving record, a minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving history, and be willing to obtain a CDL. Training is provided; dependability and safety come first.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable driving history.
• Clean driving record within the last 24-36 months.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
• Complete comprehensive training program.
• Pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus route, picking up and dropping off students at established stops.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections for safe operation.
• Conduct post-trip inspections.
• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• Keep the bus clean to maintain a professional appearance.
• Transport students and other passengers on field trips when required.

Job description

Come join our team! As a school bus driver, you will have the support of a dedicated, local management team and the training needed to perform your job safely, and with care. Bus drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties. Candidates must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.

Sign-On Bonus:

$5,000 Sign on bonus for fully licensed CDL A/B with S & P endorsements - paid in increments -Offer good 8/27-9/30/2026

$2,500 Sign on bonus for Driver Trainees - paid in increments -Offer good 8/27-9/30/2026

Responsibilities:

• Drive a school bus route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops on the route.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
• As requested or desired to take field trips, activity trips and charter runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations.
