Job summary

STA Family of Companies is seeking a part-time school bus driver to transport students on designated routes in Cortland, NY with a focus on safety and care.

No experience is required for this role, and the position offers paid training and opportunities for advancement. CDL A/B with S & P endorsements qualify for sign-on bonuses; the site notes flexible scheduling and a supportive local management team.

Qualifications

• Has held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and at least 1 year of driving experience (categories A–E).
• Pass pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to work with people in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on set routes.
• Adhere to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Come join our team! As a school bus driver, you will have the support of a dedicated, local management team and the training needed to perform your job safely, and with care. Bus drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties.

What We Offer:

• Sign-On Bonus:
• $2,500 Sign on bonus for fully licensed CDL A/B with S & P endorsements - paid in increments -Offer good 1/1/2026-9/30/2026
• $1,000 Sign on bonus for Driver Trainees - paid in increments - Offer good 1/1/2026-9/30/2026
• Pay Range: $21.11-$25
