Job description

Come join our team! As a school bus driver, you will have the support of a dedicated, local management team and the training needed to perform your job safely and with care. Bus drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties.

Job Details

• Job Type: Part-Time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Location: Trenton, NJ
• Hours: 6am-9am / 1:45pm-4:30pm

Pay Rate

• Full School Bus Driver rate: $31.00/hr for 54 Passenger Big Bus Drivers
• $29.00/hr for 25 Passenger Van Drivers
• Contingent Bonus: $150.00
• Trainee training rate with validated permit: $16.00/hr
• Post-licensing trainee rate: $27.00/hr plus a $150.00 Contingent Bonus

The bonus is contingent on drivers working both the AM and PM shifts with NO CALL OUTS and NO ACCIDENTS or INCIDENTS.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus route - picking up and dropping off students at established stops.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain bus cleanliness to ensure a professional appearance.
• Drive students on field trips, activity trips, and charter runs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable driving history
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL
• Complete a CDL training program
• Pre-employment background checks
