Job summary

WE Transport Inc. is seeking qualified school bus and van drivers to transport students to and from school safely and on time in Chester, NY. Training and support will be provided for operating under district guidelines.

Starting pay is competitive with CDL endorsements required; we offer benefits and a stable, safety-focused work environment for transportation professionals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• Possess a valid NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for buses, or Class C with P & S endorsements for vans.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, and student behavior.
• Comply with federal, state, and local traffic laws and district requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting when necessary.

• Starting Pay Rate for School Bus Van Drivers: $25.24 per hour
• Starting Pay Rate for School Bus Drivers: $27.32 per hour (CDL A or B with P and S Endorsement Required)

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students to and from school safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, and student behavior to ensure a safe ride.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as district requirements and standards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
• Possess a valid NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for buses, or a Class C with P & S endorsements for vans Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and maintain compliance with state and federal CDL guidelines.
