First Student is hiring School Bus Drivers for Brooklyn and Bronx routes in NY. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour with opportunities for a sign-on bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or a qualifying permit.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely: Pick up students at designated stops in the morning and transport them home safely in the afternoon.
• Prioritize student safety: Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus and follow all student-safety procedures.
• Drive responsibly: Operate the school bus safely and professionally while obeying all traffic laws and road-safety regulations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules: Arrive on time, follow designated routes, and communicate any delays or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct safety checks: Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report vehicle defects or maintenance concerns.
• Assist students: Follow company procedures for student boarding, exiting, and crossing safely when applicable.
• Maintain professionalism: Treat students, parents, school staff, and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
