Job summary

First Student, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to service Battleground and Hockinson school districts. You will maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability for student transportation.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with day shifts and a starting hourly rate of $30.00–$30.67, plus industry bonuses for ASE tests. Company benefits, CDL training, ASE testing, and career advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of diesel or automotive maintenance experience or relevant technical schooling.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days (training provided).
• Willingness to participate in ASE certification program with training and bonuses.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, engines, suspensions, transmissions, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed.
