Job summary

Dean Transportation in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking School Bus Attendants to support Kent ISD and assist students, passengers, and the school bus driver during transportation to and from school and events.

Paid training is provided, no prior experience is required, and a benefits package plus a 401(k) retirement plan are available after eligibility is met. Flexible scheduling helps accommodate other commitments.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
