Job summary

Dean Transportation in Roscommon, MI is seeking a School Bus Attendant to safely assist students and passengers, working with the driver and district staff. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

You will participate in safety briefings, follow district standards, and help maintain safe and orderly bus operations during transportation to events and school activities.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Attend training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
