Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools is seeking an Aide School Bus to ensure safety, care, and comfort for students on buses. You will assist with boarding, lifting, seating assignments, and monitoring behavior while maintaining attendance records.

The role supports emergency drills, bus safety procedures, and adherence to nondiscrimination policies. Requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with special education students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and human-relations skills.
• Ability to use and care for school bus equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in boarding and disembarking from school buses.
• Lift students when necessary and secure them in seats.
• Monitor student behavior on buses.
• Maintain daily attendance records for riders.
• Assist in developing and executing emergency evacuation plans and drills.
• Provide information for accident reports.
