Job summary

Leesel Transportation Corp. in the New York City area seeks a Bus Aide to help students board the bus, depart, and arrive safely. You will support the Driver by maintaining a calm, safe environment and assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities include greeting students, conducting child checks at the end of routes, and performing related duties to ensure on-time, safe transportation. Qualifications include being at least 19, authorized to work in the U.S., and availability 5:30 AM–6 PM

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be available from 5:30 AM to 6 PM Monday to Friday with a midday break.
• Physical Performance Test completed within 60 days of application.
• Pre-Service Training completed.
• New York State Escort training completed.
• Training Certificate completed.
• Red Cross Training Certificate completed.
• CPR certification completed.
• One-hour training course required under PJ's Law.
• Spring or Fall Refresher training completed.

Responsibilities

• Help the Driver focus on driving the assigned vehicle.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students as necessary.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination.
• Perform child checks at the conclusion of every tour of duty.
• Always maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
