Job summary

Leesel Transportation Corp. is seeking a Bus Aide to support students boarding and exiting buses and to help ensure they reach their destinations safely. This role emphasizes keeping a safe, supportive environment so the Driver can focus on driving tasks.

The Bus Aide will greet students, assist as needed, perform pre- and post-trip checks and other duties as assigned to help provide reliable transportation for NYC-area programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be available 5:30 AM–6 PM, Monday to Friday, with a midday break.
• Pre-Service Training, New York State Escort Training Certificate, Red Cross Training CPR (PJA0A0Law) Spring or Fall Refresher required.

Responsibilities

• Help the Driver focus on driving the assigned vehicle.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students as necessary.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination.
• Perform child checks at the conclusion of every tour of duty.
• Always maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
