Job summary

Transit Team, Inc. in Richfield, MN is seeking a School Bus Aide to help students have a safe, comfortable ride to and from school. You’ll support students with mobility needs, ensure proper seating and safety, and assist the driver during emergencies.

This full-time role includes full benefits and a supportive team at Beacon Mobility. We value reliability, punctuality, and clear communication with students, families, drivers, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to work split morning and afternoon routes.
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as they board and exit the school bus safely.
• Help maintain a calm, respectful, and secure environment during transportation.
• Support students with special needs and mobility challenges as needed.
• Ensure students are properly seated and following safety procedures.
• Communicate respectfully with students, parents, drivers, and school personnel.
• Monitor student behavior and report concerns when appropriate.
• Assist the driver in responding to emergencies and following safety procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-route safety checks as directed.
