Job summary

Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Richfield, MN to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on school buses.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems, ensuring all work meets DOT and safety standards while collaborating with a team for safe, reliable service. We offer Monday–Friday daytime hours, a $25–$37/hour wage with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and extensive benefits including holidays, PTO, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Experience working on medium-duty diesel vehicles or buses.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality work.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Experience with Ford, GM, or fleet vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on school buses.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections to keep fleet safe and road-ready.
