Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Budget Analyst to provide financial analysis, guidance, and support to school and department administrators in developing, managing, and monitoring annual budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
  • One year of budget analysis, accounting or bookkeeping experience OR five years of similar experience.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software such as Excel or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of governmental or fund accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to train and support staff.

  • Provide financial analysis, guidance, and support to school and department administrators and staff in developing, managing, and monitoring annual budgets.
  • Ensure sites use district funds responsibly and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
