Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Budget Analyst to provide financial analysis, guidance, and support to school and department administrators in developing, managing, and monitoring annual budgets.

This role ensures district funds are used responsibly and in compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborates with Human Resources and site staff to review staffing requests and position changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
• One year of budget analysis, accounting or bookkeeping experience OR five years of similar experience.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software such as Excel or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of governmental or fund accounting principles.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to train and support staff.
