Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with special needs in a school setting. You will work with teachers, specialists, and staff to implement behavioral interventions and promote positive behaviors, aiming to improve student engagement and academic/social outcomes.

Responsibilities include one-on-one and small group support, documenting observations, and collaborating with the educational team to meet goals. Start date Oct 14, 2026; 34 hours/week; contract 36 weeks.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification may be required.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray may be applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support.
  • Assist students in developing social, communication, and adaptive skills.
  • Monitor progress and document behavioral observations.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to achieve goals.
  • Support a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Follow school, district, state, and federal policies.

Skills
