The Sheppard Pratt School - Hunt Valley is a year‑round special education program in Baltimore County providing educational services to students ages five to 21 with complex disabilities.

As a School Behavior Specialist you will conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop behavior plans, train staff, supervise assistants, and collaborate with education and treatment teams to support students' progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, behavioral psychology, special education or related field.
• BCBA and LBA preferred.
• Two to three years of behavior assessment and management experience.
• Experience with children on the autism spectrum or with emotional disturbances.
• Proficiency with computer software, including Excel and data collection/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Complete functional behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention plans for Autism program students.
• Prepare Positive Behavior Support and Management Plans; train staff on their use and revise as needed.
• Supervise Assistant Behavior Specialists and Resource Specialists assigned to the program.
• Collaborate with education and treatment teams; serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and families.
• Work with appropriate supervision by a licensed professional depending on credentials.
