Job summary

Shaker Heights City School District invites applications for a Positive Behavior Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience supporting social, emotional and behavioral needs in school.
• BCBA certification or coursework preferred.
• Experience in data collection, analyzing behavioral concerns, and intervention planning in schools.
• Satisfies the criminal background check.
• Strong time management and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication; proficient with technology.
• Ability to relate across diverse audiences including students, staff, parents and community.
• Knowledge of MTSS and behavioral analysis.
• Coaching, collaboration and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct, short term behavioral consultation to staff.
• Provides job-embedded professional learning on FBAs and BIPs.
• Provides job-embedded professional learning on Tier 1 classroom strategies for SEL.
• Maintains data collection and progress monitoring of behavior.
• Liaises with outside/community agencies for student support.
• Supports PBIS and MTSS initiatives district-wide.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings and prepares reports.
• Promotes parental involvement and effective communication with families.
