Job summary

Shaker Heights City School District seeks a Positive Behavior Coordinator to promote a positive climate and support staff and students. The role focuses on consultation, direct services, and professional learning related to social/emotional/behavioral needs.

The coordinator will lead Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, and data collection while collaborating with teachers, families, and community partners to strengthen MTSS initiatives in the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience supporting social, emotional and behavioral needs of students in a school setting.
• BCBA certification or related coursework preferred.
• Criminal background check is required.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, short-term behavioral consultation to staff.
• Deliver job-embedded professional learning on Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Develop and support MTSS/ PBIS initiatives district-wide.
• Create and maintain Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and data collection tools.
• Collaborate with students, families and community partners.
• Attend meetings and professional development to improve program outcomes.
