Job summary

Life Help in Cleveland, MS seeks an experienced School Based Therapist to provide individual, group, and family therapy within a therapeutic milieu. The role requires a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or DMH-approved field, plus DMH licensure eligibility and a valid Mississippi driver's license.

You will collaborate with case managers and school staff to support student outcomes. You will maintain documentation, adhere to state standards, and manage a 40-student caseload

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in counseling, psychology, social work, or a DMH approved related field.
• Eligible to meet DMH certification/licensure requirements for Therapist.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide appropriate treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu.
• Provide therapy in school and home settings (individual, group, school-based, family).
• Refer clients to services benefiting the consumer, family, and school personnel.
• Establish weekly meetings with case managers.
• Maintain current documentation per state/local standards.
• Serve as liaison between student, home, school and community resources.
• Adhere to school-specific policies and procedures.
• Manage workload to maximize direct service time (about 85%).
• Maintain an active caseload of 40 students.
