Job summary

Animal Companion Counseling seeks a School-Based Mental & Behavioral Health Therapist (Spanish Speaking) to serve PreK–12 students primarily in CPS schools. The role involves delivery of individual, group and family therapies, with potential office/community-based sessions as needed.

The candidate must be licensed in Ohio (LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC), have at least 2 years of related experience, and be fluent in Spanish.

Job description

School-Based Mental & Behavioral Health Therapist (Spanish Speaking)

Therapist will provide services primarily in a PreK-8th school within CPS. Services will be secondarily provided in the office or other community-based setting (client homes, other healthcare organizations, etc.).

Clients will range from Pre-K through 12th grade with the option of serving additional clients PreK through Older Adulthood.

Therapist must be open to receiving training in Animal-Assisted Intervention and to incorporate into client treatment.

Therapist must be highly collaborative and able to work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.

Therapist must be proficient in Spanish.

Highly Preferred: Therapist owns and maintains ownership of an affiliative, well-trained dog that they are willing to incorporate into service delivery.
