Job summary

AltaPointe Health is seeking a School Based Therapist to deliver administrative, clinical and mental health services in the public school system. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group, family and play therapy to students and families within one or more school settings.

Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, collaboration with school staff, discharge planning, and timely documentation in line with AltaPointe policy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, clinical and consultative mental health services within one or more school settings.
• Performs clinical assessment of the consumer.
• Formulates treatment plans based on CANS and in collaboration with consumer and family.
• Delivers individual, group, family and play therapy as needed.
• Provides outreach services to consumers and families.
• Recognizes crisis states and applies de-escalation strategies.
• Collaborates with treatment teams, school personnel and external sources.
• Evaluates discharge needs and completes treatment plan reviews.
• Provides clinical supervision as directed.
• Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Maintains child/adolescent competencies and seeks supervision as needed.
• Meets AltaPointe productivity standards (110 hours monthly).
• Documents assessments, goals, services and outcomes clearly.
• Manages caseload based on consumer needs and resources.
