Job summary

PFH Preferred Family Healthcare is seeking a School Based Therapist to provide direct, evidence-based mental health services within local school settings in Illinois. You will assess, diagnose, and treat students while collaborating with families, school staff, and partners to support emotional and academic success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• Active or provisional Illinois licensure appropriate to scope of practice.
• LSW, LPC, LCPC, or LCSW licensure required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy to students during the school day for emotional, behavioral, and academic support.
• Manage a clinical caseload in line with agency guidelines.
• Deliver prevention and early-intervention services to support academics.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with school staff, families, and supervisors.
• Respond to crises and provide timely emotional support.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources as needed.
• Conduct clinical assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Serve as liaison between students, families, and school partners.
