Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a School-Based Therapist in Jefferson City, MO, to deliver mental health services directly within schools. The role involves individual, family, and group therapy, with a schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and no private-practice overhead.

Requires a Master’s degree in a human service field and Missouri licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT). This full-time position serves district elementary schools and offers licensure supervision and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human service-related field is required.
• LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (or provisional) valid in Missouri is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health therapy (individual, family, and/or group) to students based on their needs
• Complete initial evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plans in collaboration with the student and family
• Coordinate care with school staff, families, and other Compass providers to support holistic treatment
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies (within 24 hours of service delivery)
• Participate in school meetings as appropriate to advocate for student needs
• Serve as a mental health resource and consultant to school personnel
• Support crisis intervention needs and safety planning, with 24/7 access to Compass’s crisis resources
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure wraparound care for each student

This position serves the Calloway Elementary and North Elementary in Jefferson City (Holt Summit) School District.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (or provisional) valid in Missouri required
