Job summary

Positions are part-time or full-time, hourly W-2 employees. Available schedules align with school hours, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with caseload-driven hours and opportunities for growth within the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related behavioral health field
• Active Virginia QMHP or QMHP‑T registration preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining professional boundaries
• Ability to engage children in therapeutic, developmentally appropriate interventions
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working independently within a school environment
• Ability to travel to assigned school locations throughout Loudoun County
• Reliable access to a computer for clinical documentation, communication, virtual meetings, training, and other required job responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapeutic interventions, behavioral support, and skill-building services to assigned students
• Engage students in therapeutic activities aligned with treatment goals
• Conduct individual sessions and classroom observations
• Implement individualized treatment goals and monitor progress
• Conduct weekly family sessions and communicate with parents
• Care coordination with school personnel and other providers at least monthly
• Collaborate with teachers, school social workers, administrators, families, and other members of the student's treatment team
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and student-related meetings
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation per protocols
• Attend virtual TDT staff meetings and clinical supervision (alternate weeks)
• Follow Tree of Life and school policies and professional expectations
• Maintain professional boundaries and represent Tree of Life
