Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a School-Based Miscellaneous employee to provide supervision before, during, and after the school day and to assist with various temporary supports to ensure smooth operation. The role may also support tutoring, reception duties, and school activities as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of related experience in customer service or education, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of related support experience.
• Experience in education, community outreach, or public service is preferred.
• Experience supervising children in organised settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide student supervision and coverage (hallways, lunch, breaks, field trips, etc.).
• Assist with parent outreach and support.
• Support overall school operations (tutoring, reception, data entry, filing, activities).
• Other duties as assigned.
